Matthew M
Matthew is an accomplished musician who regularly performs as a solo artist. Playing both piano and guitar from an early age his style has become eclectic and encompasses many different genres. His performances in Europe and around the UK include slots at the popular Isle of Wight Festival (with The Jellycats), ‘The Eden Sessions’ (supporting Blink 182) and a supporting role on a UK tour with Californian ska band Reel Big Fish. This experience has motivated Matthew to instil a love of music in others and lends itself brilliantly to teaching in an engaging and stimulating manner.

Toby M
Toby is a guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, and banjo teacher based in West Suffolk. He is a professional session player and regularly performs in the traditional Irish style. He enjoys teaching all ages and ensures that he adapts to each of his student’s needs and goals. Toby's teaching style centres around enjoyment and love of music and takes great joy in helping others with their musical endeavours.

Joshua has over 20 years’ experience as a bass guitarist. He holds a Degree in Professional Music Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where he studied under a range of internationally acclaimed musicians. During his time in Guildford and since he has played extensively to live audiences. As a teacher, Joshua takes a practical, student-centred approach, focusing on helping players build a solid technique, musical understanding and confidence across a wide range of styles, from jazz through to rock.

Luke is a friendly, highly-skilled clarinettist, saxophonist, flautist & pianist based in Walsham Le Willows, Suffolk. Having over a decade of experience, Luke will find an approach and learning schedule that will work for you. Whether you're a complete beginner, working towards an ABRSM examination, re-kindling a former hobby or wanting to play your favourite pop tunes once a week, Luke can help! Luke is classically trained from the Royal Academy of Music and performs with many of the UK's leading orchestras including The Royal Opera House, The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra & The Hallé. First lessons for beginners might look like: - Introduction - a chance to chat about your journey so far - Have a play - You may have a piece you've been working on already, if not Luke will bring some or we could do some improvising - Looking ahead: Luke will give some things to work on now as well as giving guidance on longer term plans and goals. As well as a busy performance career, Luke has a passion for education and is currently employed by Wandsworth Music. Luke both provides whole-class instrumental lessons in Primary Schools as well as individual lessons for sixth form students looking to take the next step in their musical journey. Luke is a keen improviser and composer and his work has been performed internationally. If composition is something you are looking to progress in, Luke can offer guidance in that.

Ellie D
Ellie is a composer and teacher who works with students of all ages and abilities. She has taught music for the past 21 years in 1-to-1 private lessons, in schools as both a classroom and peripatetic teacher, and at university as a Teaching Fellow. She holds a PhD from the University of Aberdeen, a Master's degree in Psychology of Music from the University of Leeds, and a Bachelor of Music degree with first class honours from the University of Edinburgh. Ellie is an encouraging and engaging teacher who adopts a holistic approach to her lessons. She now teaches online, after co-founding Suffolk Music Teachers in 2016. Ellie has a background in cathedral music and writes primarily choral music, which has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and performed throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, and in North America.
